1938 Marx, The Lone Ranger, Hi-Yo Silver Click Pistol in Original Box

1938 Marx, The Lone Ranger, Hi-Yo Silver Click Pistol in Original Box

Why does the Lone Ranger wear a mask? Answer. Because he's actually a mutant zombie! Or, at least that's the way he appears on the decal of this Marx, The Lone Ranger, Hi-Yo Silver Click Pistol. Check out the first photo and see if you agree.

Actually it's the weirdness of the decal combined with the high grade of the toy, plus its original box which makes it so attractive. The pistol is all pressed steel, enameled jet black, with decal applied to the left side of the frame. The original box is a generic type with pre-1939 Marx logo.

It's a fairly heavy toy weighing nearly 6oz. As with all Marx clicker pistols the details (grips, bullet chamber, hammer, etc.) are embossed directly into the toy. It has only one moving part; the trigger. And yes, it makes a beautiful loud clicker sound at the lightest squeeze.

The box is a simple single color text printed on thin walled cardboard.

Size: 7½" long.
